We provide you with a comprehensive overview, which includes an extensive body composition analysis, complete health history screening and a nutritional program designed to meet your everyday needs. We will also conduct a full body postural assessment and cardiovascular screening to determine what steps are necessary to help reach your goal. We encourage you to push harder and go beyond what you might have thought possible.

 

     The idea that a trainer “takes people through workouts" is an idea that surely limits personal growth. Meet Our Fitness Professionals

 

     Our fitness professionals are required to have a minimum of a four year college education in a health related field. These include Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, Kinesiology, Health Science, Recreation Management and Physical Education. They must also maintain high level certifications in the following areas:

 

      NSCA-  National Strength and Conditioning Association

                                     PRCS-Post Rehabilitation Conditioning Specialist 

       NCCPT-National Council for Certified Personal Trainers

John LoDrago

John LoDrago has been a personal trainer for Champions Fitness Center for over 10 years and the proud owner of Re-Fuel Inc. Nutrition store (located in Champions) for the past nine years. He holds certifications from A.F.A.A., APEX, and NSCA. Along with his nutritional background, John holds a degree in Graphic Arts from O.C.C.. His working knowledge of nutrition and supplementation has afforded him the opportunity to compete as a natural body builder, winning various best poser awards; winning the Overall in the 2001 NYS Naturals Masters competition.

 

 

 

                             

                              Christy Ewanyk

Through past experiences not only did I begin to see the importance of exercise but also feel the importance of what exercise can do for you. I developed a sincere desire for helping others achieve what I lived and preached everyday and decided to make a career out of my passion by attending Castleton State college were I received my BS in Exercise Science/Sports Medicine with a Minor in Health & Business with the intentions of perusing a career in a commercial health club. I have been at Champions now for almost 3 years pursuing my passion for helping others achieve a healthier way of life as the Director of Member Services and a NSCA- Certified Personal Trainer.

 

 

                             

                             

                             Jennifer Nastasi

Jennifer is a SUNY Potsdam graduate with a Bachelors degree in music education. Although I teach private piano lessons in my spare time, I have a true dedication and passion for health and fitness. For over four years I have been the Head Personal Lifestyle Enhancement Coach at Champions Fitness. Jennifer is certified by the National Sports Conditioning Association, Apex Fitness Group and International Sports Science Association.

 Brittney Sirota        

 

My passion for fitness and physiology of the body started at a young age. At about 8 years old I started the martial art Tae Kwon Do with my family. We did this together and stuck with it for years. I received my black belt at 11 years old and continue with training today. At 12 I started playing soccer, volleyball, and lacrosse, loving the activity. I loved the competition and the feeling of being in shape. I continued playing all throughout high school and continued into college. The ability to perform at my best encouraged me to work and train hard, even when I wasn’t playing. At 16 I started working for Bally Total Fitness, which was my introduction into the “World of Fitness.” I was with them for 6 years. I was mesmerized by the transformations people made of themselves and was desperate to be apart of it. I started taking group fitness classes and working with the trainers there. This helped me realize I wanted to help people change their lives for the better. I wanted to help people accomplish their goals. I then accomplished a certification for personal training by the World Instructor Training Schools. Along with that I am currently at Syracuse University majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition. Fitness will always be a part of my life and I want to help influence people with making it a part of theirs. 

 I grew up in Lafayette on a working horse ranch. I have been horse back riding since I could walk. I too train horses and teach horse back riding lessons. As if that isn’t enough, I as well have been bartending for 5 years and currently work at the comedy club Wise Guys.

                                                            

                       

                          

Rob Lafond 

 

Hi, my mane is Robert Lafond , I am 25 years old and i am an ISSA Certified Personal Professional. What really inspired me to become a personal trainer is my absolute love for fitness. I breathe, eat, and sleep fitness. It is my life. I compete in many sports and fitness events and being in tune with my body gives me more a more positive attitude. My goal as a trainer is to draw my clients into the  fitness lifestyle. To make sure that when they get in shape they never become out of shape ever again. I want to share my fitness philosophy with others and help them lead healthier, more productive lives.

     A PT Jump Start is a great program if you are looking to get just a small taste of what Personal Direction is all about. This small one-on-one package is designed to provide you with the basics of exercise principals.
