Allison Woznica is a Kripalu Certified, 200 hr Registered Yoga Teacher. She has been teaching Kripalu Yoga for just over two years, but has been practicing yoga for four. Allison first started her yoga practice with Yoga Therapy; a guided talk and response way of learning what the body is telling you from within. From there she attended weekly classes of a more traditional practice of asana (poses).
Yoga has truly changed Allison’s life for the better. For thirteen years she suffered from depression and an eating disorder. While she was experiencing feelings of self doubt and internal turmoil, practicing yoga was a way to get down to the root of the issue within the body.
Her weekly classes will begin and end with guided meditation and breath work (Pranayama). The asana focus will vary, as participants will stretch and strengthen the whole body in a mindful and compassionate way. Her motto for yoga is “No flexibility? No problem. The only flexibility required is your mind.” Meaning that her classes are suitable for all ages and skill level.
Practicing yoga has taught Allison to be more loving, caring, kind and compassionate; not just to others, but to herself. She is looking forward to sharing her practice of Kripalu Yoga with you every Thursday at 10 am!
